Choices choices choices........

Have you ever wondered how many choices you make in a day? Let's suppose....
The alarm goes off. Do I want to open my eyes yet? should I hit the snooze button? Do I have to get up? Wonder if my body is going hurt when my feet hit the floor? Crazy isn't it?
It continues... What am I hungry for? Do I wan breakfast? Do I have everything I need for work today? Have you considered the volume of choices you have to make? Wow....
Maybe I'm the only one. Maybe I should robotically turn the alarm off, put my feet on the floor, head for the shower. Toast and a bowl of Wheaties. Grab my badge and cell phone. Out the door. Take the same route to work, stay in the same lanes. Listen to the same radio station. How boring does all of that sound?
The things listed above occur every day. How do we decide which choices are life changers? What choice can I make in the next ten seconds that has the ability to change my life for the remainder of my life? I present an interesting challenge. take one day to write down every choice that is presented to you in one day. At the end of the day how many of those choices made a difference in the outcome of your life? This could really be an eye opening exercise. So, if you choose to accept this challenge I would love to here the outcome the evaluation of your choices for the day you choose. Not necessarily the choices but more about what you realized after evaluating your day. If you don't want to post your summation in the comments feel free to email me. I am convinced doing this for one day will change the way you live. The only rule is you must operate with integrity and not leave a single choice out nor can you invent choices to add to the day, you must only evaluate the choices you make in that day without outside influence. I suggest you do this without telling friends or family what you are doing until you see how it turns out. Once you've done it take a few minutes and share it with your family or friends and challenge them to do the same thing. Hope it turns our the way you expect..
Different subject..
I have been looking at/for a used raft. In that search I have also been exploring numerous vendors and outdoor gear websites and have discovered tons of interesting information. With that said I was looking at NRS, Northwest River Supply web site and discovered videos they have sponsored and some they have promoted. I am very impressed with the quality of the films and the content for the most part is eye opening and entertaining. Several of them inspire me even though I feel like my age and slothfulness have limited my ability to pursue some of the things the people in these films are doing. I would love to drop my kayak over a waterfall and experience the thrill of a free fall. The other things I like about the films is the pursuit of ones dreams. Pick a 1700 mile long river and float the whole thing then document by film and word the spiritual result of seeing the life of the river from beginning to end. The same is true for hiking and mountain biking. Would love to be out there. Pick your dream and pursue but make it your dream. Your actions may mimic something others have done but you won't have the same perception, experiences, results of any other human. I'll pick a particular video and post about it when it registers with me. Along these same lines at this moment I highly recommend the film, 180 degrees south.
Enjoy your evening! I have more discovery to embark on.
